Should I Let my SEO Company Register my Domain Name?

One of our recent clients had allowed their SEO company to register their domain name.

Upon a close look at their contract we discovered that they were “leasing” the domain name.

This is a terrible idea. Your domain name is extremely important. You should always retain ownership of it. Never let someone take possession of your domain name. If someone asks for it, RUN!
